CNC Applications Manager Greater Charlotte area - Gpac

One of my best clients, a leading manufacturer of precision CNC manufacturing cutting tools, is looking for a Applications Manager to direct their Applications Engineers.

For over 40 years, they have been a leading producer of cutting machine tools worldwide, making top-of-the-line CNC machines, 5-axis, etc. You definitely have heard of them. With operations nationally and internationally, they are recession durable. The Job 50% travel in NC SC, often within an hour but it can be 2-3 hour drives as needed, company car:

• Ability to establish clear goals for the local engineering staff and ensure the deliverables are clearly defined with overall effective risk management. Review, understand and provide technical directions for time estimates and turnkey projects.
• Engineer, execute and trouble shoot complex manufacturing and machining processes. 
• Comptence with high end multi-axis CAM System, G-Code, M-Code, Macro programming, Shop Mill and Shop Turn systems.
• Manage several projects simultaneously and direct local engineering

Credentials Desired:

• 10+ years application engineering experience, Degrees desired but less important than hands on competnence.  
• Advanced understanding of cutting tools and cutting technologies.
• Knowledge of machine tool control systems (Fanuc, Siemens, Mitsubishi, ABB, etc)
