If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! We are seeking an experienced Consulting CNC Lathe Machinist to join our team on the 2nd shift. This role is critical in maintaining our reputation for delivering high-quality products to our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC machining, with specific experience in G Code, 3 axis, and 4 axis operations.
Responsibilities:
As a Consulting CNC Lathe Machinist, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Setting up and operating CNC lathes to perform precision, multi-axis machining operations on a variety of metal components.
2. Interpreting complex blueprints, engineering plans, and geometric dimensions and tolerances to plan machining operations.
3. Programming and adjusting CNC machines using G Code.
4. Advising and consulting on the development of new products, tooling, and machinery.
5. Performing routine machine maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repairs.
6. Ensuring all finished products meet quality standards and specifications.
7. Training and mentoring junior machinists, sharing your expertise and knowledge.
8. Collaborating with the engineering team to optimize machining processes and improve production efficiency.
9. Adhering to all safety regulations and maintaining a clean, organized work area.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for this role will have the following qualifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. A minimum of 2 years of experience as a CNC Lathe Machinist.
3. Proficiency in programming and operating CNC lathes using G Code.
4. Extensive experience with 3 axis and 4 axis machining operations.
5. Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and engineering plans.
6. Strong understanding of geometric dimensions and tolerances.
7. Excellent problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
8. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
9. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
10. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
11. Willingness to work the 2nd shift and overtime as needed.
