WHAT IT'S LIKE TO BE A CNC LATHE Machinist AT Barron
As a CNC Lathe Operator at Barron Industries, you will have the opportunity to work with top-of-the-line equipment such as Mazak, Doosan, and Hurco. Your responsibilities will include setting up and operating a variety of CNC lathes. You will play a crucial role in selecting tooling, making off-sets, and changing cutting tools to ensure optimal performance. Precision is key in this role as you will be expected to hold tight tolerances and conduct quality checks on machined parts.
Your expertise in these areas will contribute significantly to our mission of delivering excellence in manufacturing for the aerospace, defense and other commercial industries.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR IN A CNC LATHE OPERATOR

Knowledge and skills required for the position are:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience with castings a plus
- Clear communication (oral and written) skills
- Ability to work independently with little supervision
- Ability to follow documented procedures and work instructions
- Ability to keep customer required records
- Ability to troubleshoot problems and recommend improvements
