Responsibilities and Duties:
- The CNC Lathe Programmer Operator will produce quality machined parts by programming, setting up, and final machining of all components.
- Write, store, and retrieve programs for machined parts.
- Prioritize work orders for timely completion to accommodate customer needs.
- The CNC Lathe Programmer Operator will maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
- Maintain equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements, troubleshoot malfunctions, and repair equipment as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Mazak experience is a must.
- Set up, program, finish machine, and verify parts to print.
- G code proficiency
- Skilled in programming and operating CNC Lathes.
- Able to read and interpret blueprints.
- Strong math skills.
- Analyze job orders, drawings, blueprints and/or specifications in order to calculate dimensions, tool selection, machine speed and feed rates.
- Programming gantry robots, bar feeders, and sub spindles a plus
- Can use inspection equipment such as micrometers, depth mic’s, O.D. mic’s, thread gauges and calipers.
