Teamvantage, a Velosity Company is searching for a CNC Machinist to support our manufacturing facility in Forest Lake, MN. A CNC Machinist is responsible for set up and operation of CNC equipment per work instructions and set up sheets. This position is also responsible for monitoring and adhering to quality standards per the quality manual. This is an on-site position. The typical pay range for this role: $19.93 - 29.89 per hour This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. What You'll Love about Teamvantage: A competitive compensation package with generous benefits covering health care, disability, life insurance, 401(k), and more Generous PTO offerings & 9 paid holidays annually Continued Education opportunities through our tuition reimbursement program Great opportunities for growth & advancement A family centric environment that is focused on our values Essential Duties: Operate CNC milling machines 3, 4, and 5 axis as required per manufacturers recommendations as well as follow Velosity SOP's to produce quality parts per customer prints Follow job traveler standard rates and report out using hour by hour board to meet or exceed the production rate and scrap requirements as driven by the ERP system Consistently produce accurate records of completed parts including accurate entry of scrap and nonconformance's when required into the ERP system and any hard copy requirements This includes the use of job cards and WIP tags Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs verbally or by documenting in shift to shift transfer books Under close supervision, set up CNC equipment on basic jobs with some assistance as required by work instructions and set up sheets which are appropriate for this level of machinist Basic understanding of G and M code, MDI mode and machine operation. This should include an understanding of basic machining practices Verify all products meet quality specifications both visually by using a microscope and dimensionally in accordance with specifications or other Quality System requirements This includes the use of vision systems, CMM's as well as hand tools. Demonstrate the ability to read and understand QC calc/ SPC and use the data to perform offsets, tool changes and maintain dimensional integrity Other duties as assigned Qualifications: High school Diploma/GED Certificate in Machine Trades, or equivalent work experience Minimum of six (6) months experience in a medical manufacturing environment Experience with CNC vertical machining centers (3,4, and 5 axis) Experience with CNC Swiss machining preferred Blue print reading Able to use a computer, calculator, read and write in English and do shop Math Familiarity with MasterCam X (ability to back plot programs, and measure dimensions) Physical Requirements Standing, Walking, Kneeling, Bending, Reaching, Pulling, Twisting, Turning, Seeing, Hearing Ability to lift up to 30 pounds Work Environment Requirements Manufacturing environment, exposure to heat, noise, dust, dirt, oil and water Working Overtime when needed Licensing/Registration/Certification: Valid identification and the ability to work legally in the United States We maintain a drug-free workplace and perform pre-employment substance abuse testing.
