CNC Machinist - Overton Tube Forming Systems

Responsibilities:

• Develop machine tool centric manufacturing processes:- Select order of operations

  • Cutting tool selection
  • CNC programming
  • Design and implement robust work-holding
  • Collaborate on in-process quality controls

• Operates CNC machine and other various equipment

• Continuous improvement and 6S:- Diagnoses issues with the machine and parts program

  • Measures parts to ensure finished product has correct specifications
  • Identifies material defects in raw castings and finished parts
  • Corrects inadequate measurements
  • Daily clean-up

• Mentors, trains, and develops apprentices

The expertise you’ll need to succeed:

• MasterCam software experience is preferred
• Experience with multi-axis machining
• Highly motivated
• Works efficiently in high pressure environments
• Accepts constructive criticism
• 5+ years industry experience preferred

Job Type: Full-Time

Compensation: From $20/hour

Ability to commute/relocate: Franklin, IN 46131 – Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work is required.
