Job Summary
Produces machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies. This position reports to the Machine Shop Supervisor
Key Responsibilities
- Inspection of CNC machinery to ensure the equipment is in good working order before start-up.
- Conduct all required setup, adjusting off-sets to close tolerance specifications.
- Perform in-process inspect of 1st articles produced to ensure specifications and quality requirements are met.
- Perform all necessary machine maintenance as required.
- Always abide by all safety standards.
- Report any safety or maintenance concerns to supervisor and/or management immediately.
- Keep all work areas clean and organized.
- Hold self to a high standard of quality and workmanship.
Required Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Minimum 4+ years’ experience as a CNC Machinist, 3 Axis Mill
- Must have a good understanding of GD&T.
- Ability to successfully load programs, set up, and run products.
- Solid necessary math skills, including measuring and keeping count records.
- Able to read and follow technical drawings and diagrammed instructions.
- Commitment to safety.
- Keen eye for detail.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work—standing, bending, lifting 25 lbs. regularly.
- Good communication skills, written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment with minimum supervision or direction.
- Must have all the attributes of an above average machinist and employee to produce quality products consistently.

- Minimum 4+ years’ experience as a CNC Machinist, 3 Axis Mill
