CNC Machinist/Mill Turn/Setup Operator - The Slabe Machine Products

Key Responsibilities

• Operate twin-axis lathe- Omni Turn.
• Load fixture in the machine with blank parts to be machined or a machined part for one (1) of the part-specific operations which would be noted on the job router.
• Utilize measuring devices to accurately measure part characteristics to ensure they meet within part conformance requirements, and document measurements on inspection documents. 
• Make any necessary offset changes to the machine program to account for tool wear/movement.
• Seek supervisory help if the machine fails, or measurements get completely outside limits.
• Document on router production, quality & scrap counts daily.
• Check to make sure Coolant or Oil levels are at proper function levels.

Skills Knowledge and Expertise

• Set up and operate Turn Mill
• Making offsets
• Troubleshooting simple issues 
• Aerospace Industry experience
• Ability to read GD&T Code
• Ability to use all measuring tools
