About the Job
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A certificate or diploma in engineering or a relevant discipline is a plus.
- 5-8 years CNC Mill and Lathe.
- 3+ Year Programming
- Mazak Mazatrol and/or SmoothAi
- FeatureCam Software or similar
- Study blueprints, sketches, drawings, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpiece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.
- Be able to Set-up, operate, edit, and program CNC machines and machining centers.
- Be able to Set-up and operate Manual Mills and Lathes.
- Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories.
- Create fixtures as needed.
- Calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, and depth, and angle of cut, or enters commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control to obtain optimum performance for the selected material to be machined.
- Operate and understand Haas and Mazak/Fanuc Machines.
- Proof programs & understand G and M code programs and make changes as needed.
- Perform machine maintenance when required.
- Maintain a safe working environment.
- Keep work area, tools, and equipment clean and orderly.
- Familiar with Multi-axis and live tooling machining centers.
- Capable of working within tight tolerances (+/- .001).
- Ability to multi-task.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
