Responsibilities
Primary Function of the Machinist Position: The role focuses on operating industrial machinery such as lathes, drills, grinders, and mills to manufacture essential components for the company's products.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
+ Program machines on-site, adjusting speed, feeds, and G code as needed to meet specifications.
+ Proof and edit programs, and accurately use measurement tools like micrometers, calipers, height and bore gauges.
+ Set up and operate manual lathes and perform additional tasks as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
+ At least two years of CNC experience or a related technical degree.
+ Prior experience in manufacturing or a machine shop environment.
+ Preferred experience with large CNC horizontal and vertical lathes and programming with Fanuc, Mazatrol Matrix, or other G-Code-based systems.
Skills:
+ Proficiency in basic math, computer skills, reading technical drawings, and using measuring instruments.
+ Reliable transportation and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
+ Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, and use hands; lifting up to 50 pounds may be necessary.
+ May be exposed to wet/humid conditions, moving parts, heights, fumes, extreme temperatures, and vibrations.
+ Typical shop noise level.
