About the Job
Technical Solutions Inc. is currently seeking a hands-on CNC/Machinist on behalf of our client, a manufacturer in the Uniontown area. The Machinist will be working with a variety of machines and manufacturing equipment as needed and per blueprint or job order specifications. You will also be repairing and maintaining your equipment as needed, assisting other machinists, and maintaining a safe work environment.
Duties
- Set up and operate CNC machines to produce precision parts according to specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work orders
- Use various tools and equipment, such as power tools, hand tools, and gauges
- Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance
- Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy
- Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean well organized work environment
- Ability to program and edit programs at the machine
- Ability to think and plan through the complete machining process
- Perform all other tasks or requirements as needed
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years prior machinist experience required, 5+ years preferred
- Proficiency in operating CNC machines
- Ability to assemble and disassemble machine components as needed
- Familiarity with HAAS controls a plus
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Good problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot machine issues
- Experience with tooling and tool maintenance is a plus
- Self-motivated and able to keep a clean, organized workspace
- General understanding of Fanuc code a plus
