How Youll Make an Impact
Our qualified Lead CNC Machinist will have exemplary manufacturing skills, working knowledge and experience on a variety of CNC machines and controls. This person will be in a position as a technical leader and mentor however will not be directly managing employees. They will have the ability to read and understand a customer job traveler/work orders, ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints, prepare and install computer control programs for machining centers, selects, inspects and installs proper tooling, and operates computer-controlled machining centers in a safe productive teamwork environment.
What youll be doing as a Lead CNC Machinist (3-12s Weekend Shift: Friday Sunday):
- Working a Full-time, weekend shift, onsite position at our Fife, Washington location.
- Shift time is Friday Sunday, 5am 530pm. Shift differential is included to pay for a 40 hour work week.
- Work with shop employees and Manager, to organize the work for all shifts in department.
- Work with employees to maintain, and improve efficiencies while maintaining quality.
- Leads in meeting and seeking to exceed production goals
- Inspect work using gaging and inspection equipment to verify conformance to specifications.
- Manages others well by first living a hard work ethic and supporting the needs of employees under oversight
- Manages others to comply with company certification/ISO registration needs
- Maintains and oversees accurate production history for customer requirements
- Meet department and personal expectations for productivity, quality, and strive for continuous improvement.
- Follow guidelines for work scheduling and understand delivery objectives.
- Communicate pertinent information well with others, and is a company/ team player.
- Possess good work ethic and maintain good attendance. (Regular and punctual attendance is an essential function of this position).
- Report any machine or process problems or variances to Manager/Maintenance.
- Be able to perform multiple tasks, and manage multiple prospects simultaneously.
- Perform various other duties as assigned by Manager.
- Follow all safety guidelines established by the Company, including proper use of equipment and procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- Previous experience leading a manufacturing team, or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of tooling, fixtures, materials and processes.
- History of good work standards, good quality, and team participation.
- Competence in the operation and performance of multiple machine tools.
- Computer skills.
- Ability to inspect machined parts using a variety of inspection equipment.
- Good mathematical and print reading skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Good verbal and written communication skills

Work Environment:
A large percentage of work time is spent in a machine shop where temperatures vary from hot to cold. The environment may also include exposure to noise, dust, fumes, vapor from coolant, etc. Industry standard safety equipment is provided by the Company, and specific notice is posted in areas where safety equipment is required.
Compensation and Benefits:

The Lead CNC Machinist Compensation range for onsite Washington applicants is $39 - $44/hr. commensurate with experience. Some shifts may include shift differential pay rates. Other site ranges may differ.
