Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our production team. The CNC Machinist will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC machines to produce precision parts and components according to technical specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of CNC machine operations, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and CAD models. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, capable of troubleshooting machine issues, and dedicated to producing high-quality parts in a safe and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Set up and operate CNC machines (mills, lathes, etc.) to produce parts and components as per engineering drawings and customer specifications.
+ Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models to determine machining requirements, including dimensions, tolerances, and machine tool settings.
+ Program CNC machines using G-code or CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360) to create optimized tool paths.
+ Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and CMM machines to ensure compliance with quality standards.
+ Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting of CNC machines to minimize downtime and ensure optimal machine performance.
+ Load and unload raw materials and machined parts, ensuring safe handling and proper machine setup.
+ Collaborate with engineers and other team members to resolve machining issues and improve production processes.
+ Perform first-piece inspections and in-process quality checks to verify parts meet required specifications.
+ Maintain accurate records of machine setups, production data, and completed work orders.
+ Follow all safety guidelines and work in a clean and organized manner to maintain a safe working environment.
+ Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance machining efficiency, product quality, and reduce waste.
Required Qualifications:
+ High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in CNC machining or related field preferred.
+ At least 2 years of experience operating CNC machines in a manufacturing environment.
+ Strong understanding of CNC machine setup, programming, and operations (both manual and automated).
+ Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models.
+ Familiarity with G-code programming and/or CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, SolidWorks, Fusion 360).
+ Knowledge of precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, CMM) and techniques.
+ Strong attention to detail and ability to work with tight tolerances.
+ Good problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot machine issues.
+ Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
+ Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Associate’s degree in CNC machining, manufacturing technology, or a related field.
+ Experience with advanced CNC machines (e.g., multi-axis machines, Swiss-style lathes).
+ Familiarity with ISO 9001 or other quality management systems.
+ Certification in CNC programming or operation (e.g., NIMS, Haas, FANUC).
+ Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.
Pay Details: $30.00 to $40.00 per hour
