Role Description: As a CNC Machinist, you must have at least 3+ years of experience. For this role, you mut be a skilled CNC Machinist with set-up experience of milling machines to join the team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating and setting up CNC milling machines to produce precision parts according to specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of CNC programming, tooling, and machining techniques, with a focus on accuracy and quality.
As the CNC Machinist, you will work closely with engineering and production teams to ensure efficient and timely production of components.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set-Up and Operation: Set up and operate CNC milling machines to perform precision machining tasks according to blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD models.
- Programming: Interpret CNC programs and make necessary adjustments to ensure accurate machining. Ability to edit programs on the machine as needed.
- Tooling: Select appropriate tools, fixtures, and materials for each job, ensuring the correct tooling setup for optimal machining performance.
- Quality Control: Inspect machined parts using precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers, gauges) to ensure they meet specified tolerances and quality standards.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues related to machine operation, tooling, and part quality, making adjustments as needed to maintain production efficiency.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of machine settings, adjustments, and part measurements. Complete necessary documentation for production reports and quality assurance.
- Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on CNC milling machines and related equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, programmers, and other machinists to improve processes, enhance productivity, and ensure high-quality output.
- Safety: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in CNC machining preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience operating and setting up CNC milling machines.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD files.
- Strong understanding of CNC programming and the ability to edit programs on the machine.
- Experience with precision measuring instruments and quality control processes.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve machining and tooling issues.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality parts.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and best practices in a machining environment.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Working Conditions:
- Full-time position, with potential overtime as needed.
- Manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, machinery, and other shop conditions.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Information Technology or another related field or Equivalent
