JOB DESCRIPTIONS:
Maintenance Mechanic III/Electrician II is required to perform mechanical, electrical and electronic repair functions on all equipment. The Maintenance Mechanic III/Electrician II is highly skilled and is often called upon for the most difficult assignments. This individual has experience in most, if not all, equipment in the plant.
Maintenance Mechanic III/Electrician II must be proficient in blueprint reading, electrical, electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic and/or plumbing repair
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :
· Will be responsible for the repair of shop equipment.
· Must be able to diagnose and develop solutions for the repair of equipment.
· Will utilize blueprints of mechanical devices for problem resolution.
· Will follow pre-established routine maintenance policies and procedures.
· May be responsible for maintenance and repair of equipment in the plant.
· Will disassemble and reassemble equipment for emergency or preventive maintenance.
· Will assist in training of others.
· Ability to read and interpret electrical and electronic diagrams and specifications.
· Ability to read and interpret hydraulic and pneumatic diagrams and specifications.
EDUCATION & SKILLS:
Has strong skills and knowledge of plant equipment repair. Proven experience in reading and using blue prints and/or diagrams for electrical, plumbing, and/or hydraulic problems. Minimum one to three years experience in areas of equipment repair and maintenance, High School degree or equivalent and/or advanced certification in above areas.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Duty may require moderate lifting of items up to 60 pounds or heavier with assistance. May require standing for long periods of time up to 12 hours daily, ability to climb 8 feet or higher, ability to review workmanship on work, ability to work under different temperatures and possibly climates, possible exposure to fumes and smoke from equipment operations. May need to operate on short deadlines and changing priorities, overtime may be required at times, capable to work nights, weekends, holidays and be on call. He or She will have to attend meetings before or after normal working hours.
