Operations Manager

Location: Schaumburg, IL

Position Overview: A dynamic Senior Project Operations Manager will partner with executive leadership to drive strategic initiatives and operational excellence across the organization. This role involves leading project scoping, process improvement, and change management initiatives, often collaborating with global teams to align on project requirements and resolve key issues. Responsibilities include preparing executive-level reports, analyzing cross-functional needs, and supporting decision-making with precise business insights.

Key Responsibilities:

• Technical & Process Oversight: Develops project frameworks, including business plans, technical requirements, and process flows; communicates complex technical concepts effectively to non-technical audiences.
  
• Business Analysis: Applies business analysis fundamentals to drive successful outcomes, using KPIs, value tracking, and process re-engineering to enhance operations.
  
• Cross-Functional Communication: Facilitates clear, strategic communication across teams, including Applications, Engineering, Service, and headquarters; prepares accurate business documents and reports.
  
• Leadership & Risk Management: Supports executive leadership with strategy, risk management, and organizational change, fostering collaborative, team-driven solutions across departments.
  

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred.
  
• Experience: Minimum 5 years in a business analyst or project management role within the manufacturing or machine tool industry.
  
• Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly in data and reporting (Excel, PowerPoint); strong ability in storytelling, project management, and business relationship management.
