Responsibilities
- Responsible for traceability of all work preformed.
- Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics, variety of measuring instruments and prints.
- Machine parts to specifications using machine tools both CNC and Manual such as Lathes, Machining Centers, Grinders, Saws, Broaching and varies other pieces of equipment.
- 5s of equipment and area to be done each day
- Measure, examine, testing completed units in order to detect defects and ensure conformance specifications are meet, by using precision measuring instruments.
- Responsible for completing any assignments given by work orders, supervisor or leader, also those not listed specifically listed in this job summary.
- Knowledge of operation of various machine tools (CNC, Manual , Plasma Cutter, Saw, Grinders, Cutting Torch, Belt/Disc Sanders and etc. but not limited too.
- Make adjustments to machine to control speed, feed and path of cut.
- Alignment and securing fixturing, parts, tooling, attachments, accessories, and work holding in or onto all equipment used.
- Keep all equipment in good working, cleaned, lubricated (oils, coolant), normal equipment maintenance to insure good performance.
- Selection of the tooling to gain optimum performance and quality.
- Knowledge of Basic G code Terminology.
- Make adjustments to process to ensure quality of finished parts to meet print specifications.
Qualifications (change as needed)
- High school/GED diploma and 3 years equivalent experience in related field or proof of training in machine tool, 3 year apprenticeship in machine tool or Associate degree in machine tool.
- Must be well versed on all machines in machine shop.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence, and memos.
- Knowledge of different machine tool operations and best practices.
- Knowledge of Basic G code Terminology and programing
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
- Knowledge of Assembly of rolls, use and care of equipment, all tooling.
- Mechanical working knowledge and ability to reserve engineer parts.
- Best practices of processing and quality
- As part of our hiring process we will conduct a criminal background check for felonies in the past 7 years
- We will also conduct a pre-employment drug screening
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
