Job description
CNC Operator Second Shift
Operates numerically controlled (N/C) machinery according to blueprint specifications. Assures timelines are met with the highest attention to detail and all safety guidelines are upheld.
Role and Responsibilities:
· Prepares setup, preventative maintenance, cleaning and operation of assigned
machines
· Ensures quality production through physical inspection
· Maintains high level of accuracy, efficiency, and safety
· Performs preventative maintenance and cleaning of assigned equipment
· Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the
supervisor
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- High school diploma, GED, trade school, or equivalent
- Must demonstrate proficiency with cutting tools, measuring equipment, program interpretation and correction
- Must demonstrate proficiency reading specification blueprints
- Training in machine safety and quality awareness preferred

ADA Requirements:
Employees are regularly exposed to vibration, moderate noise levels, and occasionally works near moving mechanical parts. Employees must be able to stand for extended periods of time while frequently using hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls to climb or balance. The employee is frequently required to walk, reach with hands, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and talk or hear. Employees must be able to see up close, use peripheral vision, depth perception and adjust focus. Must be able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment. Will frequently and repetitively be required to lift up to 80 lbs.

Summary:
As a CNC Machinist, you will utilize your mechanical knowledge and precision skills to operate CNC machines effectively. With a focus on manufacturing and machining, you will be responsible for producing high-quality parts using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments. Your premium skills in CNC programming and CAD software will be essential for creating complex parts with accuracy. Additionally, your relevant skills in hand tools and fabrication will support your role in ensuring the efficient production of components.
