About the Job
Opsource has partnered with a growing Custom Fabrication company in Campobello, SC in who is looking for an experienced CNC Programmer who is an expert with programming Mills and Lathes using G-Code/ Fanuc, setting up the machines and tooling to dimensional product specification. Must be proficient with CAD.
This company provides custom design, construction, installation, and a maintenance inventory for industrial machining and honing tools for the automotive, aerospace, communications, defense, commercial, medical and HVAC sectors.
Hours: Monday through Friday
Flexible Start Time: 7AM to 9AM but MUST work scheduled amount of daily hours.
Pay: $20-30/HR DOE
Must have 5 years’ experience in programming/ setting up CNC Mills and Lathes, those with Mechatronics or Machine Tool Tech degrees are highly encouraged to apply.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities required:
- MUST BE ABLE TO SET UP, OPERATE AND ADAPT PROGRAMS on CNC MILLING/LATHES MACHINES (3-4 Axis).
- Able to program, read and have a full understanding of G Code/ Fanuc.
- Must be able to read blueprints, experience with AutoCAD, Creo or 3d Modeling Software.
- Experience in analyzing materials for projects and executing nonconformity management processes.
- CNC Material knowledge (Stainless steel, carbon, aluminum).
- Must be able to lift 50lbs without assistance.
- Teamwork, flexibility to move from job to job to support the schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Loads raw material onto machining center per procedures.
- Final analysis of finished parts.
- Adapt and improve machining processes, tool selection and feeds & speeds on a variety of materials being machined.
- Ability to load work programs and perform complex machining.
- Use precision measuring instruments to set up machines and check machined items.
- Use standard machine tools including, but not limited to, drill press and a variety of hand, electric, etc. tools.
- Select, verify, and install tooling according to specifications and operation.
- Verifies conformance of finished work piece to specifications per written processes and procedures.
- Works well independently with little direct supervision
- Ability to document passes down information pertinent to other shifts in a routine and orderly manner.
- Extensive use of blueprints, process plans, program sheets, holding fixture location diagrams, etc.
- Able to set up and prepare machines for operation.
