- 2 years' experience in CNC Machining
- High Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2-4 years' experience required in CNC programming.
- Experience with Unigraphics CAD/CAM software strongly preferred.
- Experience in the machining of turbine/airfoil molds and dies strongly preferred.
- Fluent with the design software Unigraphics (UG).
- Experience or familiar with GOM Inspection software.
- 2 years' experience in CNC Machining

Job Responsibilities:
- Interprets designer models and organizes CAD geometry. (10%)
- Creates a sequence of cutter paths in CAM software and then checks them using Vericut (55%)
- Meets with Designers, Die Makers and NC Operators as required, developing a sound manufacturing plan. (10%)
- Works with CNC operators and inspectors to solve problems. (10%)
- Creates and maintains required job documentation, including time logs. (15%)
- Meets deadlines for scheduled deliverables, fe. set-up sheets, cutter sheets.
- Specify tooling appropriate for the operations programmed.
Salary: $33.58-$47.02 per hourHowmet Aerospace has an immediate opening for a CNC Programmer at our Engines Products - Cleveland Operations, the Tempcraft facility located at 3960 S. Marginal Rd. in Cleveland. This position is responsible for the mechanical design of various molds, dies and fixtures. This person works with the manufacturing team to develop a manufacturing plan and then executes the plan in the allotted time. This person also produces written paperwork that documents the NC operations, accurately describes the set-up, and ensures the proper tooling is procured. This person is expected to follow established procedures that ensure the final part quality and works with manufacturing and inspection personnel to solve problems as they arise.
