COMPANY OVERIVEW:
My client has experienced significant growth in the recent years, and in return has invested heavily in state-of-the-art equipment used to run a climate-controlled machine shop. The CNC machines are multi-axis with sub spindles and live tooling which helps machinists produce precision parts with tight tolerances. The Machine shop is revered as elite by many professionals for holding the tight tolerances which are maintained.
POSITION SUMMARY:
CNC Programmer will program, set up and operate CNC Machinery.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Along with those identified below, other duties may be assigned.
- Program using M and G Code
- Program using PartMaker
- Set-up and operate 2 axis lathes and multi-axis mills
- Inspect own and others work using various inspection equipment
- Grind and fabricate specialty tooling as required
- Sharpen tools as required
- Help troubleshoot machines as required
- Train others in machine operation, set-up, troubleshooting, and programming
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be able to set-up and run the machines in the machine shop
- Able to read and understand prints and process instructions
- Able to read and edit G and M code
- Able to create program parts as required
- Must be able to inspect own work and that of others using various inspection equipment including but not limited to:
- Height Stands
- Optical comparators
- Ring and thread gages
- Must be able to troubleshoot and solve problems quickly
EXPERIENCE and/or EDUCATION
- Two year machine tool diploma or degree or equivalent experience Experience with Swiss Machines (preferred)
