Job title: CNC Programmer
Reports to: Shop Foreman
Summary/objective: Specialty Tooling Systems (STS) is looking for a CNC Programmer to add to their day-shift team! The employee will work on a wide array of parts for various industries using Autodesk Fusion 360 software.
Essential functions:
- Program parts using AutoDesk Fusion 360
- Setup and machine parts to data and prints provided
- Check setups, change cutters and inserts, and make adjustments as needed.
- Maintain appropriate tools and inspection equipment
- Keep work area clean
- Follow all safety rules and report unsafe work conditions to management
- Regular attendance at work during scheduled work hours
- Employees may be requested to perform other job functions as required
Required competency, education, and experience:
- At least 2 years of experience programming and operating CNC mills
- Experience using Autodesk Fusion 360 software
- A well-rounded knowledge of cutters and inserts, and feeds/speeds
- Candidate must have high school or equivalent education
- Candidate must have valid driver’s license
Preferred competency, education, and experience:
- Ability to read prints
- Knowledge and understanding of GD&T
Work environment: Manufacturing environment
Physical demands:
- Candidate must have full use of all limbs.
- Candidate must be able to read and speak English.
- Candidate must be able to lift 40 pounds.
Position type and expected hours of work: Full time. Day Shift: 40-50 hours per week. 6 am - 2:30/4:30 pm
hours/week.
Travel: None.
