About the Job
CNC Programmer:
We are seeking CNC programmers to lead first shift production teams. A CNC programmer is a skilled professional who creates the code and instructions for Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machines to manufacture precision parts and products. They use specialized software to translate technical drawings and designs into machine-readable commands, controlling the movement, cutting, and shaping of materials like metal, plastic, or wood. CNC programmers ensure accuracy and efficiency in the manufacturing process, making adjustments to optimize performance and quality. The CNC Programmer will program and set-up jobs and may produce sample parts to turn over to our production staff.
Requirements:
Five years prior experience programming and operating 3 and 5 axis CNC machines.
- The CNC Programmer must be able to work in a professional team-oriented job shop environment which considers customer satisfaction the highest priority.
- Be able to draw parts in CAD
Prior experience building prototypes
Completed technical school training or the equivalent
- Day shift is five 8-hour shifts: 7am to 3:30pm.
Responsibilities Will Include:
Program 3 and 5-axis CNC routers
Draw parts in CAD
Make prototypes, including 2D & 3D solid modeling
Determine how to set-up and run projects
Supervise staff to ensure production of quality parts
Mastercam proficiency is a plus!
