About the Job
We are seeking a CNC Programmer/OperatorĀ for our client, a designer and manufacturer of packaging machines in Pinellas Park, Florida manufacturing plant.
This meticulous, self-driven individual is responsible for programming and running parts on various CNC turning centers and supervising a team of operators.
This position reports to the Director of Operations.
Schedule: 7am-3:30pm with OT as needed
Responsibilities:
- Create and optimize programs using M & G code as well as Fusion 360.
- Setup and operate DMG Mori Lathes, HAAS CNC Mill; TM-1 & V-F3, as needed
- Inspect parts made from previous operation.
- Perform quality inspection of parts manufactured.
- Design and manufacture fixtures for Mill operation.
- Assembly of bearings and pins into parts manufactured.
- Perform basic preventative/corrective maintenance on equipment or tooling.
- Maintain work area organization and cleanliness.
- Maintain high ethical/quality standards.
Skills and Competencies:
- 5+ years of proven experience programming, setting-up and operating a CNC Lathe.
- Deep understanding of turning operations, technical blueprints, and 3D models.
- Experience defining and designing holding fixtures and inspection instruments such as go-no go gauge.
- Have knowledge and experience in cutting tool selection and defining optimal cutting conditions.
- Must be proficient in metric system.
- Excellent communications skills and teamwork oriented.
- Initiative-taking and willingness to learn.
- High ethical/quality standards
- Punctuality
- Sense of urgency
- Able to execute tasks in a very dynamic and ever-changing environment.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse workforce.
- Microsoft Office Applications - Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook.
