Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled individual to join our team as a CNC Machine Installation and Maintenance Technician. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing CNC machines, with a focus on Swiss-type CNC machines. You will also provide field start-up support, customer training, and remote troubleshooting assistance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair CNC machines (experience with Citizen & Miyano machines is a plus).
- Assist with field start-ups and provide customer training as needed.
- Replace key components such as ball screws, motors, and cartridge spindles.
- Use ladder logic and diagnostic functions on control systems.
- Provide phone support for troubleshooting, which can be frequent and demanding.
- Perform first-part run-offs to ensure machine acceptance.
- Travel domestically and internationally (including Mexico and Canada) for machine installations and support.
- Align barfeed units and adjust tools as required.
- Repair spindle bearings.
Qualifications & Skills:
- 3-6 years of experience with CNC machine tooling.
- 1-4 years of experience with Swiss-style CNC machines (helpful).
- Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical and electrical systems.
- Ability to read ladder diagrams and control diagnostics.
- Experience in electrical, mechanical, and automation systems.
- Professional communication skills for interacting with customers both in person and over the phone.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license and passport.
- Proficiency in geometry and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative.
Additional Requirements:
- Domestic and occasional international travel (Mexico, Canada).
- Must pass drug testing and a pre-employment background check.
