CNC Machine Set-Up Operator
2ND AND 3RD SHIFT OPENINGS

$18-24/hour plus shift differential!
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Reads and interprets blueprints, shop orders and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) sheets to establish work responsibilities.
• Set-up and operate CNC machine to machine plastic parts according to specifications, tooling, instructions and standards charts applying knowledge of machine methods.
• Performs Set-up and changeovers- selects positions and secures tool in tool holder (chuck, collet, or tool post) and makes proper settings on controls or fabricate plastic parts.
• Knowledge and ability to edit programs to improve cycle times. Must know G-Codes.
• Positions and secures work piece in holding devise, machine table, chuck, centers or fixtures using clamps and wrenches.
• Uses verniers, calipers, and tape measure to ensure parts are in compliance with work order and print.
• Works in a safety conscious manner ensuring safety of self and others and operates machinery in accordance with Job Safety Analysis (JSA) requirements.
• Records steps in production process (i.e. time, counts, operation/shop order numbers, materials used, visual and dimensional characteristics).
• Work in cooperative manner with external customers and with Team members to improve quality and performance of team.
• Identifies, resolves and/or communicates job or machine problems.
• Ensures materials (pieces), secondary operation equipment and IN and OUT scrap containers are staged.
• Maintains safe and clean work area.
• Performs Preventative Maintenance as required.
• Instruct or train others on machining techniques.
• Applies knowledge and experience and makes process or improvement recommendations on jobs.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or equivalent; or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend written work order and simple instructions, standard shop rules and procedure manuals. Ability to communicate ideas to other employees.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to read blue prints, add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, fractions, and decimals.
