Essential Duties & Responsibilities

18 Haas Mills, 15 VF-2, VF-3 and VF-4 VMC’s and 3 UMC-500 5 Axis machines.  Spend time on the shop floor, setting-up mills and helping troubleshoot programming issues.  Also do some G code editing and program optimization on the floor and CAD/CAM programming 

• Set-up Personnel in the turning dept. will also have the ability to write simple G-Code programs.
• Must understand and use the manufacturing process in accordance with the QA Manual and SOP’s.
• Must inspect and set-up parts to meet all of the mean dimensions.
• Must be able to get a process under control (all dimensions repeating within the mean tolerance)
• Must be able to clearly explain and instruct the operator on how to run the different jobs.
• Responsible for reviewing tooling requirements prior to set-up to insure everything is available (external set-ups coordinated by lead man).
• Responsible for reviewing inspection equipment requirements and making sure everything is available (external set-ups coordinated by lead man).
• Responsible for reviewing and initiating the purchase of new and innovative set-up products.

• Creating and documenting procedures for each process.
• Responsible for being competent in and following all Standard Operating Procedure’s and Work Instruction’s associated with this position.
• Must be able to run two machines or team up with another employee to run 3 machines with at least 90% efficiency when not in the process of setting-up a new job on a machine.
