CNC Swiss Machinist
Job Summary:
The Swiss Setup and Operator position is responsible for the setup and operation of the Swiss type and/or Multi-Axis machines. Swiss Operators will perform inspection of product to print, follow inspection standards, and adhere to In-process Inspection requirements. Swiss Operators will adhere to all ISO 9001 regulations and standards. The Swiss Operator must debur parts as necessary. Swiss Operators will also maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Essential Functions:
- Setup of Swiss/Multi-Axis Equipment.
- Operate Swiss/Multi-Axis machinery upholding and adhering to production standards and ISO 9001 regulations and guidelines.
- Inspect product to print, looking for any flaws and defect of material, including deburring if necessary. Using In-process Inspection Documentation.
- Maintain clean and safe work environment and performing general maintenance on machinery.
Minimum Job Requirements:
Education: Associates Degree or equivalent from a two year college or technical school
Experience: One to three years job experience working with Swiss/Multi-Axis machinery.
Specific Skills: The ability to calculate feeds, speeds, and proper cutting conditions. Must have a background strong in math, and blueprint reading. Machining knowledge of milling and turning operations. Intermediate measurement skills with surface plate inspection techniques.
