Job Title: CNC Vertical Turning Lathe Operator Status: Non-Exempt

Job Overview

This position offers a $2,500 sign-on bonus and an opportunity to earn 15% more by working the second shift. The second shift runs from Monday to Thursday, 3:30 p.m. to 2:00 a.m., with four 10-hour workdays.

Join a dynamic machine shop where you'll work on machining one-off large parts. This role offers a challenging environment if you're tired of production work. The position involves operating two HNK Vertical Turning Lathe Centers along with other heavy machining equipment.

Key Responsibilities

· Operate CNC Vertical Turning Lathes (VTL) using Fanuc controls, including live tooling and Fanuc programming with G and M codes.

· Safely handle equipment and products with care and caution, ensuring the safety of people and the work environment.

· Perform daily preventive maintenance to ensure the equipment's safety and operational efficiency.

· Use materials lifting equipment and demonstrate knowledge of crane rigging for large parts.

· Read and interpret blueprints accurately.

· Work independently and collaboratively, maintaining a strong attention to detail.

· Demonstrate strong mathematical skills in daily tasks.

Requirements

· Minimum 5 years of experience operating large CNC VTL machines.

· Ability to work safely and follow safety protocols.

· Knowledge of materials lifting equipment and crane rigging is a plus.

· Ability to interpret blueprints and perform calculations.
