Job Summary
Castalia Systems is seeking an experienced CNO Analyst/Programmer to join our team supporting one of our government customers on a truly exciting contract. On this program you will be part of the team developing new capabilities and novel solutions for cybersecurity tools.
Roles and Responsibilities
A qualified candidate will perform the following duties and responsibilities, but are not limited to:
- Provides custom software design and development of cybersecurity tools.
- Designs and develops end-to-end data flow and tasking into Cybersecurity tools developed.
- Provides/authors documentation, participate in design, code, and software readiness reviews in accordance with the Government's software development procedures and processes:
- Level 1 CNO Analyst/Programmer shall possess the following capabilities:
- Program in Assembly, C, C++, Java, Perl, or Python.
- Develop applications in Windows, UNIX, and other systems via proprietary, GOTS, or open source build environments.
- Provide/author documentation, participate in design, code, and software readiness reviews as prescribed by the Government's software development procedures and processes.
- In addition to the above capabilities, the Level 2 CNO Analyst/Programmer shall possess the following capabilities:
- Design and develop end-to-end data flow and tasking for CNO tools developed.
- Provide/author documentation, design, code, and software readiness reviews as prescribed by the Government's software development procedures and processes.
- Provide/author and participate in technical presentations on assigned projects.
- In addition to the above capabilities, the Level 3 CNO Analyst/Programmer shall possess the following capabilities:
- Actively participate and direct the design and development of end-to-end data flow and tasking for Cybersecurity tools developed.
- Actively participate and lead/direct the development of new Cybersecurity solutions that meet the demands of customers.
- In addition to the above capabilities, the Level 4 CNO Analyst/Programmer shall possess the following capabilities:
- Ability to develop in Unix and/or Windows low-level internals
Knowledge and Skills
- Active TS/SCI with Poly
- Level 1 CNO Analyst/Programmer
- No experience required.
- Bachelor's Degree in the field of computer science, information systems, or network engineering.
- In lieu of a Bachelor's Degree an additional four (4) years of programming experience in the field of computer science, information systems, or network engineering.
- Level 2 CNO Analyst/Programmer
- Four (4) years of programming experience in the field of computer science, information systems, or network engineering.
- Bachelor's Degree in the field of computer science, information systems, or network engineering.
- In lieu of a Bachelor's Degree an additional four (4) years for a total of eight (8) years of programming experience in the field of computer science, information systems, or network engineering.
- Additional contract or position specific required experience for this level (skills, technologies, expertise):
- 4+ years programming with CNO Tools and techniques. Using network sockets programming including developing packet-level programs, expert packet-level understanding of IP, TCP, and application- level protocols.
- 4+ years of experience with software development in Windows and/or Linux/Unix environments
- Level 3 CNO Analyst/Programmer
- Six (6) years of programming experience in the field of computer science, information systems, or network engineering.
- Bachelor's Degree in the field of computer science, information systems, or network engineering.
- In lieu of a Bachelor's Degree an additional four (4) years for a total of 10 years of programming experience in the field of computer science, information systems, or network engineering.
- Level 4 CNO Analyst/Programmer
- Twelve (12) years of programming experience in the field of computer science, information systems, or network engineering.
- Bachelor 's Degree in the field of computer science, information systems, or network engineering.
- In lieu of a Bachelor's Degree an additional four (4) years for a total of 16 years of programming experience in the field of computer science, information systems, or network engineering.
- A Master's Degree plus ten (10) years of experience, or
- PhD plus eight (8) years of experience maybe substituted.
- Additional contract or position specific required experience for this level {skills, technologies, expertise):
- 4+ years of leading highly complex custom software design and development of Cybersecurity tools and techniques for operational use.
