How you'll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities)
Delta’s OnBoard Services (OBS) Materials and Logistics team is leading an effort to transform how we support our catering partners by building a new, industry leading, procure-to-pay, first-to-final mile supply chain system. We are looking for an energetic co-op to help support this transformation effort. The Co-op will combine business acumen, technical skills, and intellectual curiosity to drive continuous improvement through our entire OBS Supply Chain. The Co-op will work across Strategic Programs, Planning, Service Delivery, Analytics, and Catering Support Operations teams to support the execution of initiatives that contribute to operational efficiencies, cost savings, and Flight Attendant/Customer satisfaction.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:
- Works with stakeholders to build out initial requirements for projects (projects will focus on analysis, forecasting, asset management, reporting, lean inventory initiatives, invoicing, vendor performance improvement, transportation, and inventory reconciliation)
- Define success criteria and metrics of projects perform post-implementation analysis
- Communicate and coordinate with key stakeholders across the organization to share priorities, roadmap, and key learnings
- Develop effective presentations and ‘story boards’ that help explain a need, the analysis and the findings and recommendations to leaders in an efficient and effective manner
What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
- Build strong working relationships with coworkers, direct reports, customers (internal and external), partners, and company leadership
- Must be self-motivated, intellectually curious, and results oriented; capable of meeting or exceeding deadlines and follow through
- Must have strong attention to detail, the ability to work autonomously, and manage multiple requests with varying timelines
- Must possess strong written and oral communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Must be available for three alternating semesters
- Embraces a diverse set of people, thinking and styles
- Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
