As a co-op, you will work closely with the Patient Services Training team to identify learning needs and align learning priorities with expected business outcomes. This position offers exposure to the design, development, and deployment of best-in-class training. You will also support and contribute to professional and leadership development initiatives within the Patient Services group and support special projects with other Patient Services teams such as our Business Optimization team.
Position Description
The ideal candidate will have an interest in adult learning, project management, leadership development, and/or organizational development, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task, work independently and deal with ambiguity. The position is based in Research Triangle Park, NC. Relocation is not available for this position.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and facilitate trainings and learning events, including but not limited to, session scheduling, participant communication, session material creation and distribution, and preparing information for the Customer Relation Management environment training environment.
- Assist in updating process changes into curriculum to ensure accurate, effective, and compliant learning materials.
- Liaise with other business groups within Patient Services and other Training teams to support Patient Services Training initiatives.
- Complete performance gaps and learning needs analysis to enhance the skills and competencies of employees.
- Support the Instructional Designer with the development of instructional material, e-learnings, and management of learning technologies. Provide support with project management tasks and tools.
- Support the Facilitation team by co-presenting content and support classroom activities.
- Partner with the Patient Services Training team to assess the impact of learning solutions towards business goals and drivers, synthesize data and communicate read outs to key stakeholders.
- Foundational understanding of adult learning principles, leadership development concepts, and/or organizational development.
- Strong presentation, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Project Management skills.
- Highly organized and strong interpersonal savvy.
- Experience with or ability to quickly learn Customer Relationship Management systems, Survey tool(s), and learning technologies.
- Experience with or ability to quickly learn customer service and/or patient support programs.
To participate in the Biogen Internship Program, students must meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
- At least 18 years of age prior to the scheduled start date
- Be currently enrolled in an accredited community college, college or university, with a graduation date no earlier than June 2025.
Education
Graduate student preferred, majoring in HR, Instructional Design, Communications or related
