Coach Bus Driver

Position Summary: 

Potawatomi Training, LLC (a federal government contractor) is seeking a qualified Coach Bus Driver who will provide both student and general transportation requirements for the Center for Domestic Preparedness. Individuals perform preventative maintenance and are responsible for cleanliness of vehicles.  Additional duties are regularly assigned when not actually performing driving duties. All drivers work irregular shift hours and weekends.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

•    Maintain a current CDL (passenger transport) license, and obey all rules and regulations of the road
•    Primarily drive a 56 Passenger Coach Bus to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, Atlanta, Georgia and other locations as necessary, to transport all incoming Students on arrival/departure days
•    Follow a predetermined route for all transportation requirements
•    Responsible for inspection of the coach bus, prior to departure
•     Accountable for the passenger’s safety during travel, to include providing a leadership role, during any emergency event (weather; traffic issues, etc.)
•    Assist passengers while boarding/exiting the vehicle and loading/unloading all passenger luggage
•    Maintain cleanliness and refueling of utilized vehicles
•    Prepare various reports and operational logs for the Transportation Supervisor
•    Report all emergencies to the Supervisor and Dispatcher.
•    Maintain proficiency with all vehicles, maintained by the CDP, for passenger transportation
•    When scheduled, will assist Class Stewards/Shuttle Bus Drivers with transporting students to various training areas, in and around McClellan, operating various shuttle vehicles
•    Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & CERTIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS: 

•    High school graduate or GED equivalent required
•    CDL (passenger transport) ;license
•    Experience with driving in different road conditions and transporting passengers.

 Other Requirements: 
•    Able to travel (1-5 %)
