Description
We’re hiring Coach Counselors at Oak Grove Academy in Jasper, FL, an affiliate of Rite of Passage. Coach Counselors provide safety and around-the-clock supervision of at-risk youth. Coach Counselors provide an atmosphere that is supportive of the needs of the youth; monitor and document youth behaviors and activities; and participate and assist with educational, social, athletic and recreational activities. Coach Counselors work in collaboration with other professional staff to establish and/or meet the goals of each youth’s treatment plan. Coach Counselors perform standard level paraprofessional work in every aspect of the program operations.
To be considered, you must:
+ Have a High School Diploma or GED
+ One-year experience working with Youth in organized group activities OR 40 hours of college education
+ Be empathetic, patient, and treat others with respect.
+ Be at least 21 years of age.
+ Have a desire to work with troubled teens.
+ Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, physical, and TB test.
