Youth Mentor to Emerging Young Adults
Pay: $21.00 per hour
Location: Lake Ozark, Missouri
Shift: Mid-day
Calo Programs is a unique organization comprising an extraordinary group of programs (family intensives, preteen and teen residential treatment centers, and emerging adult transition programs) all dedicated to healing the effects of early trauma. All Calo programs implement a unique and truly relational treatment model based on neurobiology and evidence-based attachment and trauma treatment research. Calo's older teen students that have completed a minimum of 6 months in residential treatment move to the Transition Homes to prepare for adulthood and independent living.
Responsibilities:- Crisis prevention and management
- Maintaining a safe environment
- Participate in staff bonding and house bonding activities
- Daily light housekeeping; sweeping, cleaning up/putting things away, dishes, etc.
- Enforcing a positive environment and being a role model
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Bachelor's Degree in psychology, social work or related field preferred, but not required.
- 21+ years of age or older
- Able to pass pre-employment drug screen
- Able to pass criminal investigation background check
- Ability to effectively communicate and build healthy relationships
