Coastal Modeler (Santa Cruz, CA). Dvlp & run model simulations for coastal hazard mitigation & ecosystem restoration scenarios. Assemble & synthesize hydrodynamic, geologic, & ecologic data sets to be incl'd in coastal research projects. Master's in Civil Engg or related, w/ specialization in Coastal Engg. In depth knowl of: numerical hydrodynamic & morphodynamic modeling; coastal protection dsgn & engg; nature-based solutions & their effects on flooding, sediment dynamics; wave climate data analysis; hydrodynamic modeling, incl coral reef ecosystems; geospatial analysis. Demonstrated proficiency in: SWAN; SWASH; Delft3D; XBeach; Matlab & Python. Some solid exp using supercomputers/clusters. Telecommuting from any location in the US is an option for this position. $90,000 to $110,200/yr.
