Job Summary:

As an NDT/NDE Technician, under close supervision, performs routine metals materials testing services. Become knowledgeable of the operation and calibration requirements of test equipment and reporting requirements. You'll be engaged in fieldwork that may involve safely climbing steel structures such as buildings, cell phone towers, and water tanks to heights exceeding 200 feet, using fall protection equipment and personal fall arrest systems.

• Field Expeditions: Perform visual inspection of structural steel, including bolted and welded connections.

• Testing Gear Maintenance: Maintain testing equipment in good working order and in calibration.

• Training: Receive training in new technical skills, safety protocols, and other programs.

The position will require 50+ hour work weeks (during periods of peak workload), as well as off-shift and weekend work, as required. Experience in Safety, DDC, NDT, and Radiation Training, including the use of fall protection equipment and personal fall arrest systems is a plus.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED
• Vocational training g in non-destructive metals testing services, a plus
• skills, safety protocols, and other programs
• 0-2 years of NDT/NDE metals testing experience or an associate degree
• You have additional certifications, a plus:
  • ICC certification in Building Inspections and/or Structural Steel Inspection
  • Level II for UT certification
  • Level II for PT, MT certifications

Are You Willing and Able to:

Perform the physical demands of the position with the use of company-provide Personal Protective Equipment such as:

• Ability to climb heights over 200 feet
• Working outdoors the majority of the time in varying weather conditions
• Routinely lifting and carrying 40-50lbs, (field/laboratory samples and equipment)
• Traveling out-of-town (typically overnight) for assignments as necessary
• Working outside of normal business hours when necessary
