Position Title: Cobot/Robotics Technician
We are seeking skilled and dedicated Welding Cobots and Robots Technicians to join our client's team in Jefferson City, MO. In this role, you will be responsible for the setup, programming, operation, and maintenance of welding collaborative robots (cobots) and industrial robots within a manufacturing environment. You will play a vital role in ensuring efficient and accurate welding operations while maintaining high standards of quality and productivity. Work Site: Onsite
Work Schedule:
- 1st Shift: 6:00 am - 4:30 pm
- 2nd Shift: 4:30 pm - 3:00 am (4x10s)
- Shift Differential: $1.00/hour for 2nd Shift
Responsibilities:
- Installation and Setup: Install, configure, and program welding cobots and robots to perform diverse welding operations, strictly adhering to safety protocols and standards.
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineers and production teams to determine welding requirements, including specifications, techniques, and parameters.
- Testing and Troubleshooting: Conduct thorough testing and troubleshooting to identify and resolve any issues or malfunctions with the welding cobots and robots.
- Quality Monitoring: Monitor and optimize welding parameters to ensure high-quality welds, inspecting finished welds for accuracy and compliance with specifications.
- Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and repair tasks on welding cobots and robots, diagnosing and replacing faulty components as necessary.
- Preventive Maintenance: Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and maximize the operational lifespan of welding automation equipment.
- Technical Collaboration: Collaborate with the maintenance team to address any mechanical, electrical, or software-related issues affecting the performance of welding cobots and robots.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest advancements in robotic welding technology and industry best practices, recommending and implementing improvements to enhance productivity and quality.
- Training and Support: Train and support production operators in the safe and efficient operation of welding cobots and robots, ensuring proper handling and programming techniques.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and modifications performed on welding cobots and robots.
Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or vocational training in robotics, automation, or welding preferred.
- Experience: Proven experience operating, programming, and maintaining welding cobots and industrial robots in a manufacturing environment.
- Welding Knowledge: Strong understanding of welding processes, techniques, and parameters.
- Robotics Proficiency: Experience with Fanuc robots/cobots or similar technologies.
- Equipment Familiarity: Familiarity with various welding equipment and peripherals, such as power sources, torches, wire feeders, and safety systems.
- Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols; proficient in troubleshooting technical issues related to welding automation.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team.
- Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.
- Safety Knowledge: Understanding of safety protocols and best practices for working with welding automation equipment.
- Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work shifts and adapt to changing production requirements.
Key Qualifications for Candidates:
- Relevant experience with robotics, welding systems, automation, and industrial equipment.
- Proficiency in programming FANUC systems.
- Strong troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair skills.
