Company in El Paso is looking for a Collections Representative.
A Collections Service Representative (CSR) serves as a liaison between the member and the Company. Works independently with limited supervision in a high volume in-bound and/or outbound call center. Responds to and resolves member inquiries, problems, and/or complaints while maintaining member relations. Perform collection activity on past due accounts for consumer auto loans, credit cards and/or overdraft accounts. Ensures that actions are properly documented and records and files appropriately maintained. Reviews delinquent accounts, determines Credit Union position and, as circumstances indicate directs and assists legal counsel in collections proceedings. Ensures the Companys professional image is well maintained.

The hours of operation are 9am-6pm Monday- Friday and Sat 9- 1.
Pay rate starts off at $16.72/hr.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:
- General knowledge of Credit Union policies and procedures.
- Basic understanding of products and services offered by financial institutions.
- Basic understanding of the sales and service culture.
- Basic cross selling/up selling.
- Basic understanding of member account management procedures.
- Solid knowledge of Credit Union policies & procedures.
- Basic understanding of loans, payment processes and interest rates.
- Thorough knowledge of member services, financial products, services, and auto re-marketing process.
- Complete understanding of member account management procedures.
- Thorough understanding of all court systems.
- Previous experience with mortgage loss mitigation remedies.
- Knowledge of equity calculations, priority liens, and redemption rights.
- Familiar with deposit programs, account ownership, and casualty insurance.
EDUCATION:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- One (1) year sales experience in a customer service environment.
- Previous call center experience preferred.
- One (1) year performing clerical duties.
- Two (2) years of experience as a CSR at the company or equivalent collections experience required.
- Three (3) years of experience as a CSR at companies or equivalent call center, collections, loss mitigation, or paralegal experience required.
