Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee business-to-business (B2B) collections, ensuring accounts are handled efficiently and with professionalism.
- Develop and implement credit policies and procedures to optimize cash flow and minimize bad debt.
- Perform credit assessments and evaluate the creditworthiness of potential and existing customers.
- Communicate directly with customers to resolve outstanding balances using a soft collections approach, maintaining positive business relationships.
- Work closely with the sales team to understand customer payment trends and address any issues that may arise.
- Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and provide recommendations for improving collections performance.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate invoicing.
- Process and manage biweekly payroll for credit team and ensure timely reporting.
- Keep accurate records of all communications and agreements with clients.
- Ensure compliance with applicable credit regulations and internal company policies.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of credit management experience, preferably in a business-to-business collections environment.
- Strong understanding of soft collections techniques and ability to maintain customer relationships while securing payment.
- Experience with credit risk assessments, financial statement analysis, and using collection software.
- Knowledge of accounts receivable processes, aging reports, and managing payment terms.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with a customer-centric approach.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and experience with ERP or accounting software (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong organizational skills.
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience managing and mentoring a team is a plus.
