Neogen’s Collection department is looking for an experienced Collection Specialist to monitor past due accounts and take necessary action to collect through email and phone communication while focusing on customer retention as well as capable of handling multiple accounts per day.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Monitor past due accounts and take necessary action to collect through email and phone communication.
- Maintain customer contact notes.
- Follow up with customers on broken payment arrangements.
- Contact customers regarding deductions. Follow up on unresolved deductions.
- Reconcile customer’s accounts and answer questions regarding payment application.
- Interact with Customer Service and Sales to resolve customer discrepancies.
- Prepare and participate in monthly Accounts Receivable Reviews with Sales Directors and Accounting Manager.
- Assist the sales staff and management with account information as requested.
- Additional duties as assigned by Supervisor
Education and Experience
- High School diploma
- Minimum 1 year of related accounting experience, preferably with emphasis on accounts receivable and collections
- Customer Service Experience
- SAP Experience, preferred
