Overview:
The Collibra/Data Governance Consultant plays a crucial role in ensuring effective data governance and management within the organization. They are responsible for implementing and maintaining data governance policies, processes, and standards, and for providing expertise and guidance on Collibra tools and solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data governance requirements and objectives
Implement and configure Collibra data governance platform to meet business needs
Design, develop, and maintain data governance workflows and processes
Provide training and support to end-users on Collibra platform and data governance best practices
Lead data governance assessments, gap analysis, and develop remediation plans
Define and enforce data quality standards and ensure compliance with data governance policies
Participate in data governance council meetings and communicate updates to stakeholders
Conduct data lineage analysis and impact assessments
Work with cross-functional teams to integrate Collibra with other enterprise systems
Contribute to the development and maintenance of data dictionaries, business glossaries, and data catalogs
Provide expertise and guidance on Collibra best practices and tools
Conduct data stewards workshops and engage with data governance communities of practice
Monitor and report on data governance metrics and KPIs
Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in data governance and Collibra platform
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
3+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or information management
Collibra Ranger or Collibra Developer certification
Proficiency in Collibra DGC (Data Governance Center) and Collibra Connect
Experience in data modeling, metadata management, and data quality assessment
Strong understanding of data governance principles, policies, and best practices
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Proven ability to analyze complex data and provide insights for decision-making
Experience with business analysis and requirements gathering
Ability to work effectively in a consulting environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Knowledge of data privacy regulations and compliance requirements
Experience in implementing data governance frameworks and solutions
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
