Combat Systems Test Technician - R&P Technologies, LLC

R&P is looking for an experienced professional who wants to join our LHA Support Team. We are a small-sized defense contractor providing Engineering, Logistics, Program Management and Technical Services to government clients. We need an experienced Combat Systems Test Technician ready to join a fast-paced and exciting work environment.

• Assist in the planning and coordination of Combat system equipment installations
• Perform equipment installation, checkout, testing, troubleshooting, repair, reporting of results, Software, Hardware and Firmware upgrades and maintaining records as required
• Validate an extensive range of US Navy Combat Systems and associated equipment in the Combat Suite
• Able to perform hands on testing in multiple areas of Combat Systems
• Collaborate with other systems engineers and ship operators.
• Provide regular internal status reports to the System Test Team Leads
• Provide underway system support for at sea events
• Support system test activities either by performing testing for systems part of the TSCEI network or as support to the systems under test
• Support, as needed, demonstration of ship systems to Board of Inspectors and Survey (INSURV)
• Interact with the Shipbuilder, SUPSHIP, Ship’s Force and outside venders on TSCE issues and concerns.
• Ability to perform normal climbing and lifting associated with working in a shipboard environment
• Perform test witnessing
• Validate an extensive range of US Navy Combat Systems and associated equipment in the combat suite
• Able to perform hands on testing in multiple areas of Combat Systems

Must have at least 3 years of hands-on experience testing and troubleshooting multiple areas of Combat Systems to include but no limited to: NSSMS-(MK 29 MOD 5 GMLS, MK- 73,77,78), SPQ-9B, SPY-6, SPN-50, SPN-35, UPX-29, SLQ-32, SLA-10, SLQ-25, SLA-10, AN/URN-32, JPALS, GEDMS, TCIPS, SSDS, GPS- GPNTS AN/SSN-9(V)4 , AN/WSN-7, IC/SM Alarm, NAVIGATION SYSTEM, AN/SCC-13(V)2 SATCC, AN/SRC-55B(V) (HYDRA), INTERCOMMUNICATION ANNOUNCING SYSTEM, AN/SRC-55B(V), ELECTRONIC DRY AIR SYS, MK-15 CWIS, MK-49 RAM 

Must possess at least 10 years of installation, troubleshooting, repair, and/or testing experience

Must have at least 3 years of hands-on testing experience with multiple areas of Combat Systems to include:

• Background in Combat System concept of operations
• Cable testing
• Electromagnetic Interference testing
• Product Configuration Identification testing

• Interior Communications equipment and systems, radars, gun/launcher weapon systems

• General Navigation Aids, electronic, mechanical, and electrical primary and support equipment testing
• Communications equipment testing
• Cryptographic systems testing

Analyze data to identify and resolve system performance issues

Experience with testing in an AGILE environment

Experience interfacing with internal and external customers, and finding technical solutions to complex requirements

Must be able to obtain a DoD Secret Level Clearance within 6 months.
