Consider joining our established team of general surgeons at Indiana University Health for our IU Health Ball Physicians group in Muncie, Indiana!   This team is a combination of experienced and newer physicians who take pride in meeting the needs of their patients and the community.  Come be a part of an efficient and productive practice embedded within the state's number one health system!

Employment Opportunity Details:

• Opportunity includes 50% inpatient, 50% outpatient 
• Trauma, General and Emergency procedures, including Thoracic, Colon and Rectal, interest Bariatric is preferred
• Opportunities for collaboration on complex and reconstructive breast cases with our Plastics team
• Approximately 8-10 procedures per week
• Shared call rotation including Trauma
• Opportunities to work with medical students and residents
• Support and contribute to a growing practice with highly collaborative and interdependent processes in place for successful patient outcomes

Qualifications:

• American Board of Surgery BE/BC
• Physician MD licensed in Indiana or eligible for medical licensure in the state

IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital is a 379-bed hospital and is designated as a level 3 trauma center. It is both a teaching hospital and a regional tertiary referral center. Over the last decade, the hospital has undergone a $130 million remodel and currently serves over 82,700 patients daily.

Since the early 1980s, physicians and staff members have been actively involved in national and international medical research studies, particularly in the areas of oncology, cardiology and coagulation.
