Summary Job Statement:
The purpose is to support a Broker and/or Associate Broker with the administrative tasks associated with the placement of new and renewal business, prepare information for a variety of reports and documents, while also providing exemplary customer care.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
Qualifications:
- Insurance experience preferred, but not required
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Positive attitude and a willingness to take on challenges
- Ability to prioritize workload & pivot quickly as it changes
- Capable of working independently and within teams
- Strong multi-tasking skills
- Proficient computer knowledge including, but not limited to, all aspects of Microsoft Office
Essential Functions:
- Provide excellent & consistent customer service to our retail partners
- Prepare a submission and submit to our carrier partners for quoting
- Process and send renewal quotes, endorsements, audits, cancellations, binders, and all other processes that occur during a policy’s life cycle
- Assist with Accounting related procedures such as invoicing
- Data entry into multiple internet-based systems
- Prepare risk or claims summaries, as needed
- Receive & respond to calls/requests concerning problems, delays, discrepancies, etc.
- Support Broker in renewal retention & new biz growth
- Communicate effectively with both our retail & carrier partners
- Request and keeping track of missing information from outside sources
- File organization and maintenance (in a paperless environment)
- Performs other duties as assigned
