Job Description:

As a Commercial Construction Estimator, you will be responsible for accurately estimating the costs associated with commercial construction projects. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and costs. You will work closely with project managers, architects, and clients to ensure that all estimates are accurate and comprehensive.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
• Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to ensure a thorough understanding of project requirements.
• Conduct site visits and assessments to gather necessary information for accurate estimating.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, and clients to discuss and clarify project requirements and specifications.
• Solicit and review bids from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing.
• Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and industry professionals.
• Prepare and present estimates to clients, highlighting key cost components and addressing any questions or concerns.
• Monitor project budgets and costs throughout the project lifecycle to ensure adherence to estimates.
• Update and maintain estimating databases and software to ensure accurate and current cost information.
• Participate in project planning and scheduling activities to support project execution and delivery.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of estimating experience with a commercial general contractor.
• Strong understanding of commercial construction processes, materials, and costs.
• Proficiency in estimating software and tools.
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
