Commercial Construction Project Engineer
A distinguished General Contractor, renowned for crafting iconic structures across the Inland Northwest for nearly a decade, has engaged Aspen Personnel Service to assist in securing a proactive, meticulous, and curious Project Engineer to complement their forward-thinking, expert team.
The chosen Project Engineer will provide vital support to our project teams, executing the technical intricacies of construction project management, including processing shop drawings, maintaining document integrity, handling requests for information (RFIs), managing submittals, overseeing change protocols, and other pertinent tasks.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborates with project staff to facilitate coordination, scheduling, quantity surveying, reporting, and quality control functions.
- Partners with the Project Manager to establish and maintain a comprehensive cost reporting, reviewing, and tracking system for project components and change orders.
- Supports in overseeing allowance tracking logs.
- Efficiently manages drawings, drawing records, revisions, and ASIs, ensuring clear communication across all trades.
- Takes comprehensive notes and disseminates meeting minutes for all relevant meetings.
- Assists in the preparation of bid packages and facilitates procurement processes.
- Manages the submittal process, including review, distribution, and handling RFIs.
- Oversees BIM MEP 3D Coordination efforts.
- Ensures completion of operation and maintenance manuals according to established standards.
- Provides assistance to field personnel in quality control management.
- Contributes to the management of job activities in alignment with the company’s policies, procedures, and contractual obligations.
- Manages relationships and performance of subcontractors and suppliers, serving as a liaison between jobsite activities, the company’s main office, and subcontractors/suppliers.
- Assists in implementing and maintaining quality control programs and life safety checkout procedures.
- Prepares and maintains procurement tracking logs to align with project schedules and demands.
- Enforces the company’s safety and OSHA standards in collaboration with the project team, ensuring a secure working environment for all employees and site visitors.
- Ensures compliance by thoroughly familiarizing oneself with assigned project plans and specifications, reviewing shop drawings and submittals.
- Evaluates plans for value analysis and constructability, identifying and communicating inconsistencies to the architect.
- Conducts research on construction-related issues.
- Performs work sampling, observing and analyzing work methods, techniques, and procedures to advise the superintendent on enhancing production efficiency.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or other relevant degree
- 1-2 years project engineering experience with a general contractor
- Commercial Construction industry experience preferred
- Proficiency project management software (Procore, etc.) and standard business software (Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint)
Salary
- $70,000 to $90,000
- Annual bonus based on company and individual performance
