Position Summary:
LEAD Technical (www.lead-technical.com) has partnered with a well-established commercial construction general contractor specializing in commercial projects across the nation and seeks a dynamic Traveling Commercial Construction Superintendent professional with strong organizational skills. a leading construction firm. We are seeking experienced Traveling Superintendents to oversee the successful execution of our construction projects. This role requires extensive travel and the ability to manage multiple crews and subcontractors on-site, nationwide travel, and requires at least two years of full-time experience in commercial on-site supervision or project management. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in overseeing commercial construction activities, ensuring safety compliance, managing multiple crews, and maintaining project quality and cost controls. The position offers a competitive salary range of $70,000 to $100,000 per year, along with comprehensive benefits, per diem, and expenses.
Essential Job Functions and Key Responsibilities:
- Project Supervision: Lead and manage on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and in compliance with quality standards.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols, identify and correct safety violations, and ensure all personnel adhere to OSHA regulations.
- Crew Management: Supervise and coordinate the efforts of multiple crews and subcontractors, ensuring efficient and effective work processes.
- Quality Control: Oversee quality assurance, ensuring all construction work meets or exceeds industry standards and project specifications.
- Cost Management: Monitor and control project costs, ensuring budget compliance while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate time logs, daily job reports, and other necessary documentation. Assist with accounting tasks such as timecards and payable bills.
- Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with owners, architects, engineers, and building officials, ensuring clear and professional communication at all times.
- Pre-Construction Planning: Plan and coordinate pre-construction meetings, ensuring all trades are aligned with project goals.
- Technology Utilization: Utilize industry-standard software such as Excel, Microsoft Project, Primavera, and Procore to manage project timelines and resources.
Essential Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of full-time experience as a Commercial Superintendent or Project Manager.
- Ability to lift and carry a 50-pound load for a distance of 100 feet.
- Proficient in reading and understanding construction plans, specifications, and shop drawings.
- Experience in supervising multiple crews and subcontractors with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to give and receive clear instructions.
- Familiarity with construction contracts and subcontractor agreements.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to obtain a valid First Aid certification to meet OSHA requirements.
- Willingness to work flexible hours as required by project schedules.
