The Commercial Credit Portfolio Officer (CCPO) is responsible for partnering with Business Relationship Officers (BRO) and meet with prospective clients. The CCPO will explain the loan process depending on the type of loan request to the client and collect the minimum critical needs list items and perform an initial credit review to submit a pre-flight and issue a Letter of Intent (LOI). The CCPO will perform annual loan reviews as assigned.

- Partner with BROs and attend client meetings; explain loan process depending on the type of loan the client is interested in.
- Collect initial data from customers and perform an initial credit review including cash flow, collateral, guarantor and other items needed.
- Prepare and submit pre-flight and issue a preliminary LOI.
- Complete annual commercial loan reviews as assigned.
- Assist with monitoring the commercial loan portfolio and prepare reports as needed.
- Prepare items for loan committee as requested.
- Collaborate with BROs and Credit Analysts through out loan process to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Reinforces the application of superior customer service through his or her own example along with appropriate follow through with involved customers and employees.
- Other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
The position of Commercial Credit Portfolio Officer is not responsible for the supervision of any employees.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year college or university; and/or 5 years of related experience and/or training; or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Work related experience should consist of an in-depth background in credit or finance. Educational experience, through in-house training sessions, formal school, or financial industry related curriculum, should be applicable to the financial industry.
- Advanced knowledge lending products and services; related state and federal laws and regulations, and other related policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of loan structures and procedures.
- Experience in financial analysis including financial statements and tax returns.
- Intermediate experience, knowledge and training in all lending activities and terminology.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Advanced skills in computer terminal and personal computer operation; spreadsheet and financial spreading software programs.
- Intermediate typing skills to meet production needs of the position.
- Intermediate math skills; ability to calculate interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages; balance accounts; add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; locate routine mathematical errors; compute rate, ratio, and percent, including the drafting and interpretation of bar graphs.
- Exceptional verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions and instruct others, train personnel, write reports, correspondence and procedures, and speak clearly to customers and employees.
- Ability to deal with complex problems involving multiple facets and variables in non-standardized situations.
- Ability to work with no supervision while performing duties.
- Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time, operate a computer, and telephone.
