Commercial Division Manager
The Commercial Division Manager provides the organization, control, and direction in the assigned Division to meet production and profit objectives. The position reports directly to the President & CEO.
BACKGROUND PROFILE
Planning & Organizing:
- Organize, control, and direct the Division to meet production and profit goals.
- Collaborate on department expense budget preparation.
- Set Division goals and objectives aligned with corporate objectives.
- Participate in annual and monthly budget processes.
- Determine target markets and guide Business Development in customer solicitation.
- Maintain current job descriptions for Division positions.
Controlling Activities:
- Prioritize Estimating resources on opportunities with Project Managers.
- Meet Division Profit and Revenue targets.
- Guide daily work of Division personnel.
- Maintain workflow to meet bid and completion deadlines.
- Coordinate job priorities with operations.
- Maintain performance standards for Division work.
- Conduct regular inspections of Division work.
- Ensure adherence to company performance standards.
- Maintain internal and external customer partnerships.
- Enforce adherence to uniform project management accounting and procedures.
- Protect and utilize company assets for maximum return (RONA).
Directing and Motivating Activities:
- Conduct regular performance evaluations.
- Teach problem-solving methods.
- Maintain positive Division image.
- Foster a positive, growth-oriented work environment.
- Encourage cooperation among departments.
- Promote education, training, and self-improvement for Division staff.
- Drive safety initiatives and oversee safety protocols.
Communication Activities:
- Maintain open communication channels within the Division.
- Encourage positive problem-solving.
- Offer training and self-improvement opportunities.
- Participate in Management Advisory Committee meetings.
- Foster positive relationships with clients and field personnel.

EXPERTISE IN
- 5-10 years of Electrical Construction Project Management Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or related field preferred
- Knowledge of construction industry, operations management, and safety practices
- Demonstrated leadership in Construction Industry
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Business writing and reporting skills
- Excellent organization, communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills
- Scheduling and time management skills
- Strategic, analytical, and multitasking skills
- Strong teamwork, organizational, and follow-up skills
- Self-motivated with attention to detail and prioritization abilities

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT
Typical Division office environment with occasional travel to job sites.

- Salary Range from $144,000 to $189,000
